Lamborghini is never one to shy away from creating awesome concept cars for various auto shows, and today we’ve learned that it will have something spectacular up its sleeve for the 2016 Geneva Auto Show in March. Fortunately, this won’t be some one-off concept car that will draw a bunch of “ohhs” and “ahhs” but never amount to anything more. Instead, this will be a limited-production model that celebrates the birth of the automaker’s founder.

Given this will be late Ferrucio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday, it is no shock that this new model will supposedly carry the Centenario name. According to the report from Auto Express, this limited-run model will not simply be a hacked-up Aventador or Huracán. Instead, it will have very distinct styling that separates it from Lambo’s other models. One Lamborghini insider told Auto Express that this rig is “beautiful and not as extreme as you might expect,” leading me to believe we will see the more subtle side of the raging bull this time around.

Under its hood, the report indicates that it is a certainty that the Centenario will make use of the company’s 6.5-liter V-12 powerplant. Look for Lamborghini to up the power from the 740 horses it produces in the Aventador Superveloce to 760-ish ponies.

Lamborghini will reportedly produce just 20 examples of the Centenario, and I am confident that it’ll be sold out before it even makes its public debut. Pricing details remain a mystery, and they will likely remain that way unless you happen to be one of the lucky folks who snags up this instant collector’s car.

We’ll bring you additional details as they become available, so keep it locked here for more.
