For being a niche vehicle, the Jeep Renegade has sold relatively well for the automaker. With decent sales, Jeep sees it fit to pad its numbers with a few new variants to pull in different types of buyers. With this, Jeep has introduced the Altitude and Deserthawk versions of its small people hauler.

The Deserthawk model rolls in boasting added capabilities, new touches to the body, and a few touches inside. Its capabilities are enhanced by standard Jeep Active Drive Low with 20-to-1 crawl ratio, the Selec-Terrain system with exclusive Rock mode, 8.7 inches of ground clearance, skid plates, red front and rear tow hooks, up to 8.1 inches of front wheel articulation, Hill Descent Control, and more.

Inside, the Deserthawk includes an exclusive cabin with black leather seating, Light Frost stitching nd accents, and all-weather floor and cargo mats.

The Deserthawk comes standard with the 180-horsepower 2.4-liter engine and is available in three colors: Alpine White, Anvil, Black or Deserthawk-exclusive Mojave Sand.

The Altitude model is less focused on off-road travel and more tuned toward looking good. It comes with gloss-black 18-inch wheels, and gloss-black front and rear badges, grille rings, and door handles. Inside, the black theme continues with black premium cloth seating, gloss-black finishes, and Metal Diamond accents on the shifter knob and door handles.

The Renegade Altitude will arrive with either the 180-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark engine with MultiAir2 or the 160-horsepower 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine.

The Deserthawk model will hit showrooms in January 2017 at a starting price of $28,140, while the Altitude model will arrive in November 2016 at a base price of $22,390.
