Jaguar Makes the 2017 F-Type SVR’s Geneva Debut Official

Just the other day, a brochure made its way to the Internet and inadvertently blew the cover right off the 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR. Today, following this monstrous leak, Jaguar has officially confirmed the unveiling of its range-topping sports car.

According to the presser Jaguar released, the new F-Type SVR will officially show its face at the Geneva Auto Show, which kicks off on March 1st. Before its in-the-metal debut, Jaguar will release all of the official specs, prices, and other details on February 17th. Following its big—albeit spoiled—debut, the SVR will hit showrooms in the summer of this year.

The only bits of information that Jaguar revealed about the newest addition to the F-Type family is its 200 mph top speed and titanium exhaust system. Lucky for us, the brochure that leaked revealed all the other goodies, including its 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 that produces 575 ponies and 516 pound-feet of torque, its 4.1-second 0-to-62 mph acceleration time, aluminum rims, and body kit.

Like the F-Type R and F-Type S AWD, the F-Type SVR will hit the streets with all-wheel drive, giving it great traction in the slippery stuff and the agility needed to handle the twisty stuff.

While there is very little that Jaguar can really add to the leaked document when the SVR finally does debut, we will still pass on all of the official details once they are available. Maybe Jag has an ace up its sleeve for its European launch, but I highly doubt it.
