With Scion’s end coming in August 2016, a few of the dying brand’s more popular cars, namely the FR-S, iM and iA, are making the move from Scion to Toyota. One model that never had a chance to live under the Scion umbrella in anything other than concept clothing, the C-HR, is set to make the move to the Toyota nameplate in production. Ahead of its reveal in Geneva, a set of leaked images, courtesy of Carscoops, has shown us what to expect from this sporty crossover.

In concept form, the C-HR boasted an insane design that looked like in belonged in the year 2025—in addition to being nearly useless as a people or cargo hauler. Apparently, Toyota agreed as it has seriously toned down the design, given these leaked images are accurate.

Despite its toned-down look, the C-HR does retain some styling cues of the concept. Its roofline, albeit less dramatic, has a coupe-like swoop to it, it retains the body line that follows down the front wheel well and across the lower portion of the door, features flared wheel wells, and has wraparound headlights and Prius-inspired lower air intakes.

Around back, the concept’s inspiration carries on. Items like the boomerang taillights, the rear spoiler, the sloped rear glass, and the basic styling of the rear bumper all hark back to the concept.

Unfortunately, the details of its powertrain did not make it into the leak. However, the images clearly show a “Hybrid” badge on the rear hatch, which gives away that it will likely carry a version of the Prius’ gasoline-electric powertrain. Rumors also indicate that the C-HR may have a gasoline-only powertrain available at some point. Front- and all-wheel drive will be available, and it will ride on the multipurpose Toyota New Global Architecture platform.

With the Geneva show under way, we should learn more about this crossover in the coming days. Stay tuned or more information.
