Honda Adds Some New Tech to the 2017 Pilot
Since debuting the 2018 CR-V just weeks ago, all eyes have been on this new-look crossover. That said, there is still one recently redesigned Honda crossover that is entering a new model year. I am, of course, talking about the 2017 Pilot.
With a complete redesign back in 2015, it’s no surprise that the changes to the 2017 Pilot are minimal. In fact, it will be completely identical stylistically, and the only changes will be in its available tech, colors, and pricing.
On the tech side of things, all new Pilot EX and above trims will come with a new Display Audio system with an 8-inch, fingerprint-resistant touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. As for the change in colors, Honda will add a black interior to the options list for all trim levels that have the White Diamond Pearl paint. Previously, this was only available on the Elite trim.
As for pricing, there are increases of a few hundred bucks across the board. The new starting prices and their increases are as follows (add $1,800 for all-wheel drive on all but the Elite model):
- LX 2WD $30,595 ($250 increase)
- EX 2WD $33,030 ($250 increase)
- EX 2WD w/ Honda Sensing $34,030 ($250 increase)
- EX-L 2WD $36,455 ($200 increase)
- EX-L 2WD w/ Honda Sensing $37,455 ($200 increase)
- EX-L 2WD Navi $37,455 ($200 increase)
- EX-L 2WD w/ Rear Entertainment System $34,055 ($200 increase)
- Touring 2WD $41,670 ($300 increase)
- Elite AWD $47,070 ($300 increase)
The 2017 Honda Pilot is on sale now at Honda dealers.
