The 2015 Ford Mustang arrived with a pile of fanfare and this was all pushed to massive levels with the revealing of the absolutely insane GT350 model. Despite all of the craziness surrounding the new Mustang, it hasn’t been all roses and butterflies, as the Mustang is now subject to its second recall in just its first two months on the market.

The First recall was due to a faulty seatbelt buckle, and its latest one is due to the possibility of an incorrectly installed fuel pressure sensor on the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. This sensor could come loose under normal operation and leak pressurized fuel in the engine compartment, which could result in a Mustang BBQ.

According to the recall report from Ford, only 730 Mustang EcoBoosts assembled at the Flat Rock plant between September 25, 2014 and October 9, 2014 are potentially affected. Fortunately, Ford hasn’t recorded any incidents of fire or injury, and it is going to fix the issue free of charge through its network of dealerships.

If you want to find out if your Mustang is included in this recall, you can grab the VIN from your car — the VIN is a 17-character number located on the bottom, driver-side corner of the windshield and on a placard inside the driver-side door jamb — and call your local dealer with that info.

However, it seems as if they are coming at a far quicker rate than I’ve ever seen, particularly on brand-new cars that have been in the design and testing phase for several years. What’s more, the two initial recalls on the Mustang could have potentially cause serious injury. A faulty seatbelt buckle and a leaking fuel line are pretty serious business. Luckily Ford caught it before any harm was done.
