The time is almost here folks, as the third-generation Focus RS will soon be upon us. What’s more, the February 3, 2015 reveal of the Focus RS marks the first time the U.S. market will get to see an RS model that is earmarked for its streets too. Prior to the new Focus RS, we were limited to various SVT and ST versions of the Focus. While these were all great models, they didn’t hold a candle to the Europe-only RS models. Now Ford has another treat for us in announcing that it’ll stream the RS’ February 3rd preview event live online.

You can catch the event at www.gofurtherlive.com on February 3, 2015, starting at 1:45 p.m. CET. For us U.S.-based folks, that would be 7:45 a.m. on the 3rd.

According to the press release, this will not be a full reveal. Instead, it says that this will be a “preview event,” which means that the details will be very limited. In typical Ford fashion, I expect to hear the terms “at least X horsepower” and “under Y seconds,” much like the brand did with the new GT and the Shelby GT350. The lack of info won’t be a huge deal, as the only true mysteries behind the Focus RS are its price, availability, and whether or not it will feature all-wheel drive. While I believe the latter will be confirmed at the preview, its price and availability will likely have to wait a few more months.

Regardless of how much information Ford releases on the new Focus RS, I can’t wait to see the beast in the metal and just get a taste of what it has to offer. Stay tuned for more info.
