The Kansas City Royals celebrated their second ever world championship in Major League Baseball at the end of the 2015 season. In celebration of this momentous occasion, Ford has developed a special-edition F-150 that it will offer only in the Kansas City area.

Dubbed the F-150 MVP Edition, this limited-run model was the brainchild of Royals fan, Mark Lassalle, and it follows in the footsteps of the 1986 Ford Ranger MVP, which celebrated the team’s first world championship in 1985.

Making this rig special is just a handful of tweaks. The mods include MVP badges, stainless-steel rocker panels, a spray-in bed liner, and two Royals-inspired colors: Blue Flame or Oxford White. Surprisingly, there are no interior updates to speak of.

Ford will offer just 300 examples of the F-150 MVP, all of which are available at dealers in the KC area now. There are no pricing details available yet, but I suspect it is only slightly more expensive than the F-150 XLT with the chrome package that it is based on, which starts from $35,965.
