It’s no secret that Fiat’s been struggling in the US, and now FCA has decided that closing dealerships is one way to deal with the mess. Automotive News first reported that the company will let dealers combine locations with Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram retailers, with the hopes that someone will want to buy a Ram 3500 and throw a Fiat 500 in the payload at the same time.

Prices for new Fiats are dropping significantly, which is great news for anyone who’s been holding out on a 500, or maybe has their eye on a new 124 Spider. As of right now, Fiat hasn’t announced just how big the prices will be dropping, so stay tuned for more info.

You can also expect to see fewer variations of Fiat models. This is to help make the shopping experience easier, because apparently people were getting confused by too many choices.

Even if Fiat dealers decide to stay put, FCA is throwing all kinds of incentives at them to keep everyone happy. They’ll be getting cash payments and other ways to increase actual income.

If you’re seriously interested in a new Fiat, the good news is that many dealers are hungry for sales. Reportedly, two-thirds of dealerships in the US average under 10 new vehicle sales each month. About half of them even make a profit, which hasn’t made a lot of them happy.
