Details Surounding the 2017 Volt Roll Out

The paint on the redesigned 2016 Chevy Volt is still drying, and today we already have information on the 2017 model year. These details come courtesy of a report from the folks over at CarsDirect.com. While the updates are pretty insignificant, its broader release in the new model year is likely the most important of the 2017 model year’s changes.

The only notable update to the 2017 Volt is the addition of adaptive cruise control, which is a part of the requirements set forth by the new Federal Tier 3 emissions guidelines. This new cruise-control system will team up with a suite of safety features that includes blind spot warning, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, low-speed automatic braking and automatic high beams. All-in, this package of safety features will come as options for the range-topping Premier trim for an extra $2,185.

The body of the Volt carries over unchanged into the 2017 model year, but it will have a new color available. Chevy has named this new pale green Citron Green Metallic.

Surprisingly, Chevy has already released pricing details on the 2017 Volt, as its base LT trim level will start from $34,095 before federal and state incentives. If you’re looking for more features, the range-topping Premier trim will come in at $38,445. These prices are $100 bumps over their 2015 siblings.
