Audi Set to Release the Limited-Run S3 Exclusive Edition

Audi S3 Exclusive EditionAudi doesn’t release limited-edition models too often, but it has just announced that it’ll launch a limited run of 25 special S3 Exclusive Edition models in the U.S.

The Audi enthusiast blog, Fourtitude, was the first to release the information on this special S3. According to the report, this model will receive the careful touch of Audi Exclusive, meaning that it will feature plenty of aesthetic work to set it apart from other S3s.

Making up the 25 special S3s will be five different configurations, and there will be only five of each configuration available. Separating the five configurations are their colors: Vegas Yellow, Viper Green, Glut Orange, Sepang Blue and Misano Red. The latter two colors are currently available on the S3, while the yellow, green, and orange hues are exclusive to this package and will require an additional fee to acquire.

On top of the colors, the this limited-run S3 will also get the Fine Nappa Leather Package upgrade with contrast stitching, body-color Audi Exclusive interior inlays, the Audi Exclusive Extended Leather Package with contrast stitching, Audi Exclusive leather controls (steering wheel and gear shift knob), S Sport seats, and 19-inch wheels.

In addition to the exclusive items, Audi is basing this S3 on the Prestige trim level, so you also get all of the standard equipment that comes with this higher trim level.

Under the hood, things appear to remain unchanged. If this remains true, then expect thus special S3 to arrive with a 2.0-liter TFSI engine that produces 292 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to a fast-shifting six-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system, the S3 hits 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.

Pricing for the special S3 starts at $57,250 for the Misano Red and Sepang Blue models, while the Vegas Yellow, Viper Green, and Glut Orange models require an extra $2,650.That’s quite a price hike for a special color, but you will own one of only five S3s in that color, so it is likely well worth it.
