Audi is moving and shaking once again, announcing that several new models are coming down the pipeline in the near future. With any luck, the brand’s sedan lineup will no longer look almost indistinguishable at a distance.

Unsurprisingly, Audi says the next-generation A4 is on its way and will be revealed at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show, which takes place in September. The current A4 is pretty old now and in desperate need of a complete reworking. Spy shots of camo versions of the car have been spotted many times in the recent past. Many believe the new sedan will have a longer wheelbase and will have a look that is more like the new TT.

The second-generation Audi Q5 is coming in 2016, presenting an updated competitor to the BMW X3. The crossover will be assembled at the company’s new plant in Mexico. The new Q3 will be joined by a younger sibling, the Q1, a premium subcompact crossover that’s supposed to take on the likes of the Nissan Juke, of all vehicles. Production of the Q1 is supposed to start up in the early part of 2016.

The most mysterious of all the upcoming models is the Q8. Audi won’t say really anything about the crossover, other than stating it will be large and sporty, two terms that often don’t go together. Rumors have been flying for years that Audi is developing a three-row crossover that will accommodate more than dolls and teddy bears on the third row. Such a vehicle would go toe-to-toe with the Mercedes GL and Cadillac Escalade.

In 2017 the next-generation A8 will launch. The large sedan is going to pack some serious autonomous tech. Then in 2018 an all-electric crossover vehicle will also launch, joining a growing field of vehicles set to take a chunk out of Tesla’s market share.

The product expansion from Audi is so aggressive the company says that by 2020 its vehicle lineup will expand from 52 models currently in the market to more than 60.
