As Rogue and CR-V Sales Surge, Toyota Drops RAV4 Pricing

The Toyota RAV4 has had no issues with sales, but it has fallen one slot to No. 3 on the sales list in 2017, thanks to the surging Rogue and CR-V. With no redesign in store to help boost sales, Toyota is relying on careful pricing changes mid-model year to keep buyers interested.

These price drops are not significant, but they are enough to push it closer to the Rogue and CR-V.

The base LE trim sees its MSRP drop by $500 to a starting price of $24,410. The midrange XLE trim falls by $1,330 to a starting price of $25,500. The SE’s MSRP drops by $1,195 to just $28,790. Finally, the Limited trim’s pricing falls by $925 to a starting price of $30,905.

Despite these price cuts, Toyota is not stripping any standard features from the 2017 RAV4, including its standard Toyota Safety Sense P, which includes frontal-collision warning with automatic braking and pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, auto high beams, and adaptive cruise control.

You may notice that I made no mention of the range-topping Platinum trim and all hybrid models. Unfortunately, there are no price reductions in these models.

These price changes go into effect immediately, but they do not include the destination charge of $960.
