Car Lists
7 of the Nicest 35 MPG+ Cars for 2015
7. 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring
The final slot was a tossup between the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid and the Accord Hybrid, but I went with the Accord because it gets far better fuel economy and offers more features for the dollar despite not being a “traditional” luxury car. The 2015 Accord Hybrid comes packing a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 141 horsepower and a 124 kW (166 horsepower) electric motor chimes in to push the total combined output to 194 horses. That’s not too much power, but it is respectably quick at 7.5 seconds to 60 mph, and its delivers 50 mpg city and 45 mpg highway.
There is one caveat to the Accord making this list, it must come in the Touring trim level, as the rest of the trims are rather ho-hum and do not offer the level of luxury needed to compete. In the Touring trim, the Accord Hybrid costs $35,055 and it comes standard with LED daytime running lamps, dual-zone climate control, navigation, Honda LaneWatch, Bluetooth connectivity, leather-trimmed interior, a seven-speaker audio system, a moonroof and smart entry. Additionally, there are dozens of optional accessories to spruce up and personalize the Accord Touring.
