2019 Cadillac CT8 Beautifully Rendered

Watching Cadillac transform is kind of like seeing a rebellious young teenager grow up and get a steady job. This latest rendering from TopSpeed for the 2019 CT8 is not only beautiful, it also should remind us all of how far the brand has come.

When de Nysschen took over the helm a couple of years ago, Cadillacs looked like angry, poorly-rendered Lamborghinis. On so many levels, they just weren’t competitive with the German luxury brands. Since then, Cadillac has been upping its game, with the future CT8 poised to mark a huge turning point.

This rendering is based on the Escala, a concept that’s made plenty of people stop and notice Cadillac again. TopSpeed had a tough task at hand, considering how few Cadillac concept vehicles actually turn into production models. You’ll notice some changes to the exterior, including bigger headlights, a chrome strip along the sides, larger mirrors and a more conventional rear layout.

The rendering doesn’t show an interior design, but Cadillac should shoot for the moon there. Since the CT8 will be the flagship sedan, expect at least the upper trims to be loaded with some impressive luxuries and technologies. Hopefully the layout won’t be too busy, but like the exterior will have a simplistically sophisticated vibe.

Considering the Cadillac CT8 will be going up against the S-Class, 7 Series and A8, it will be highly scrutinized. In the next two years we should know if the sedan is up to the task or not.
