2018 Genesis G80 3.3T Sport Injects a Little Extra Fun

Hyundai is going all out with its new Genesis sub brand as it looks to lock horns with the likes of BMW, Mercedes and Audi. One of the models aimed squarely at this German metal is the Genesis G80. Recently, at the Detroit Auto Show, the Korean automaker launched a new, sportier wrinkle in the G80 lineup.

Dubbed the G80 3.3T Sport, this model shows the more playful side of the luxurious sedan. Under its hood, it boasts the brand’s new 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that injects 365 horsepower and a sport-tuned eight-speed auto transmission. On top of that, the Sport trim features an upgraded suspension and 19-inch wheels to help in the corners.

Other additions that make up the G80 3.3T Sport are carbon-fiber interior trim, leather sport seats and steering wheel and more. Tech and safety features are plentiful, too, and they include auto emergency braking, pedestrian detection, Driver Attention Alert, a rearview camera, Car Finder, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Genesis Connected Services, and more.
