The world of hot hatchbacks has hit a fever pitch here in the U.S., but in the U.K., these fast grocery getters are old news. Despite being around for decades, the U.K. market still has plenty of demand for fast three- and five-door rigs like the Fiesta ST and the new Fiesta M-Sport Edition.

M-Sport, one of the title sponsors for the Ford Fiesta RS WRC rally rig, put together this amazing hatchback to give everyday drivers the feeling of driving a high-strung rally car.

The performance tuner started off with a standard Fiesta ST-1 and gave its body a gloss-black spoiler and graphics that resemble those on the rally car. It also has a set of 17-inch ET42 light-alloy wheels in matte graphite and carbon-fiber build numbers on the hatch to round it out.

Inside this special hatchback are M-Sport logos embroidered on the seats, a Napa leather-wrapped custom steering wheel, a carbon-fiber shift bezel with an M-Sport logo, and an M-Sport logo on the tach.

Under the hood is where the Fiesta M-Sport Edition stands out even more. The base Fiesta ST is plenty potent thanks to its 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine that produces 182 PS (180 horsepower) and 290 Nm (214 pound-feet) of torque, but that isn’t enough for M-Sport. The tuner went to work and installed the Mountune MP215 kit that pushes the output to 215 PS (212 horsepower) and 320 Nm (236 pound-feet) of torque. Optionally, buyers can fit this model with a custom muffler from Chris Tullett Exhausts or an M-Sport cold-air intake.

This extra power routes through the Ford IB6 transmission that delivers the power to a Quaife ATB limited-slip diff up front. This updated differential helps out with added traction when needed.

Other than its new wheels, the M-Sport’s chassis is all standard Fiesta ST. There are, however, a few options to choose from that can make this petite hatchback a little more nimble. First up is the Handling Package, which includes Billstein inverted mono-tube shocks and Eibach Pro springs. The second chassis option is a brake upgrade that includes Alcon calipers, 332 mm (13.1-inch) rotors, and Goodridge braided brake lines.

The Fiesta M-Sport Edition will start from £21,600 ($32,468) OTR, which is a pretty healthy price hike over the Fiesta ST-1’s price of £17,545 OTR.

Unfortunately, this model will not be available in the States. M-Sport hasn’t officially announced when this new version of the Fiesta will be available, but it should be soon.
