Most enthusiasts barely even recognize the Kia Forte’s existence, and for good reasons. The car’s lineup is shrinking by one, because Kia is killing off the Koup, or the two-door model.

Basically, what it comes down to is nobody wanted the Forte Koup. It’s no surprise, because most coupes are goners these days. Car shoppers are hungry for crossovers, crossovers, and crossovers with real backdoors.

Kia constantly tried to bill the Forte Koup as a sporty vehicle. Nobody really took the bait, including tuners. Its closest competitor was the Scion tC, which is also now dead.

Perhaps buyers were thrown off the spelling, which made this version of the Forte sound like an awful Russian car.
