It’s amazing just how many small automakers are resorting to revealing insane supercars these days. What’s more incredible is that some of them have actually become reality. Well, here’s another one to add to the pile, as ATS has just revealed its Wild Twelve supercar that is guaranteed to make gearheads feel all tingly inside.

This insane-looking concept car, which was penned by Torino Design, arrives with a mostly carbon-fiber body that keeps its weight down to a tidy 3,196 pounds.

Powering this beast is a 3.8-liter turbocharged V-12 engine that combines with a pair of electric motors driving the front wheels to produce 848 horsepower and 678 pound-feet of torque. There is no mention of whether this is an in-house setup or sourced from another automaker or engine builder.

That power combined with the low curb weight equals unrivaled performance numbers in its class. The Wild Twelve can hit 62 mph in just 2.6 seconds and 124 mph in just over six ticks of the second hand. Terminal velocity doesn’t arrive until you bury the speedometer at a 242 mph. Should you decide to be a little friendlier to the environment, you can also flick the Wild Twelve into electric mode, which allows you to travel up to 19 miles on nothing but electricity.

ATS seems confident that this model will make it to production, and it is planning to build only 30 examples at the former Bugatti factory in Campogalliano. So if you want one, you’d better get your big-boy pen out and start writing that check now, cause there will likely be a lot of zeros attached to it.

We’ll bring you more information once it becomes available.
