Design company extraordinaire, Zagato, and Aston Martin have a long history of crafting some of the sexiest cars on the planet. Recently, the two paired up again to create a new rig based on Aston’s Vanquish coupe, and they showed it off at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este that only recently wrapped up.

This new concept takes all the styling elements of both famed companies and combines them to craft one fine automobile that will have Aston fans worked into a frenzy. This concept still boasts the recognizable silhouette of the Vanquish, but you’ll quickly notice the lack of separation between body panels, as Zagato opted for larger, one-piece panels in place of the separate sections. What’s more, all of these panels are crafted from carbon fiber.

Up front, buyers will notice the massive mesh grille in place of the normal Aston piece with a pair of integrated fog lights and a new carbon-fiber front splitter. Down the sides, the typical Aston extraction port is replaced by a longer vertical vent. The sides also gain the signatureZagato “Z” logo, One-77-inspired wing mirrors, and carbon-fiber rocker extensions and A-pillars.

The rear end is also chock-full with mods that set this concept apart from the standard Vanquish. Here, the signature double-hump roof is clearly visible, as are its modified C-pillars, new rear glass, rounded LED taillights inspired by the Vulcan track rig, retractable rear spoiler, and quad-exit exhaust system that peeks from the carbon-fiber rear diffuser.

Inside, this special Vanquish is fully customized with quilted seats and door panels, “Z” emblems on the headrests, and a combination of herringbone carbon fiber, shadow and anodized bronze, and aniline leather on the dash.

Powering this rig is the same 5.9-liter V-12 that powers the standard Vanquish, but with its wick cranked from 568 horsepower to 592.

Of course, this is just a concept with very little chance for production, so don’t get your hopes up.
