Super Cruise is Coming to All Cadillacs Soon

Not too long ago, Cadillac released commercials touting its Super Cruise technology. They take a nice stab at Tesla’s Autopilot system, which has been at the center of controversy for some time. According to Cadillac, it’s tech is safer and more advanced.

Whatever you believe about Super Cruise, the system will be offered for all Cadillac model lines starting in 2020. That means more people will use the semi-autonomous system. It allows drivers to completely let go of the steering wheel for a period of time on the freeway.

Currently, you can only get Super Cruise on the Cadillac CT6. With the ATS out the door and the CTS following it, the Cadillac brand will be transforming by launching other models, like the CT5, CT4, and possibly a CT3. Not surprisingly, technology will be a big area of focus for Cadillac, which has been struggling with an identity crisis for some time.

When Motor Trend claims all Cadillacs will gain Super Cruise as an option, remember that includes Escalades. Scary? It shouldn’t be, since the system tracks the face and eye movements to ensure they’re paying attention to the road.

Other GM brands should start to get Super Cruise after 2020.
