Ram Focuses on Farmers With New Harvest Editions

FCA’s resident pickup manufacturer, Ram, is creating a truck built specifically for farmers. Meet the all-new 2018 Ram Harvest Edition.

Available in the four-door versions of all three Ram pickups –1500, 2500, and 3500 — these trucks will set themselves apart from their siblings in two major ways: their two color options. These special models will be available in two exclusive colors: Case IH Red and New Holland Blue. These hues perfectly match the tractors and other farm equipment manufactured by Case IH and New Holland.

Also setting the exterior apart in the Harvest Editions are some bright highlights, like the chrome “Wave Mesh” luxury cross-hair grille, bright front and rear bumpers, 17-inch chrome wheels on 1500 models and 18-inch polished aluminum wheels on Heavy Duty models, chrome mirrors, chrome door handles, and chrome-tipped dual exhaust (1500 models only).

Pretty colors and shiny chrome aren’t all that make up these trucks, as they also feature work-ready updates. The most rugged of the updates include their 1-inch suspension lift and rugged on- and off-road tires. Other work-based updates include black tubular side steps, a spray-in bedliner, fold-out bumper step and mud flaps, rubber floor mats, skid plates and tow hooks (four-wheel-drive models only), and heated seats.

Inside, Ram knows farmers are more tech savvy than ever before. With this in mind, it added a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, 4G Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and weather forecasts.

The Ram Harvest Editions will hit showrooms in the third quarter of 2017. The 1500 model will start from $39,910 and the Heavy Duty models will kick off from $46,235.
