I must say, Porsche is one of the handful of automakers that truly cares for its fans, and keeps them in mind when making business decisions. One group it holds in close regards is the Porsche Club of America, and to show its love for these enthusiasts, the German sports car builder is releasing a special 911 Carrera GTS Club Coupe just for the members of the club to commemorate the its 60th anniversary..

The model, which will be limited to only 60 units and sold exclusively to PCA members, will set itself apart from other 911 Carrera GTS models by way of a ton on nips and tucks, and an exclusive Club Blau exterior hue. The nips and tucks include the 44-mm (1.73-inch) wider body of the Carrera 4, SportDesign side-view mirrors, black-framed bi-xenon headlights, Porsche Dynamic Light System, black-tinted taillights, “Club Coupe” markings on the doors, the unique SportDesign front fascia and “Ducktail” spoiler, and gloss-black 20-inch Sport Classic wheels with polished centers and rims. The color alone would be enough to set this 911 apart from the pack, but the extra add-ons just show how far Porsche goes to show its appreciation to the fans.

The changes continue inside the car. This model obviously starts out with the GTS Interior Package, but it also gets special Carmine Red stitching, and Carmine Red seat belts and tachometer. Carbon fiber also makes an appearance on the dashboard accent trim, the door trim and the center console. Special stitching continues on the steering wheel, which includes Carmine Red and blue contrast stitching, and a Carmine Red 12 o’ clock marker. Rounding out the interior changes are an embossed “60” on the center console, “GTS Club Coupe 60 Years Porsche Club of America” lettering above the glove box, and stainless-steel door-sill plates with “GTS Club Coupe” lettering.

There is a single unique option for this special model, and that is the Extended Club Coupe Package, which adds in a Club Blau-painted key, a leather key pouch and leather-trimmed floor mats, both of which have Carmine Red and blue contrast stitching. Additionally, buyers can purchase customized indoor car covers for their special 911s.

Powering this special model is the same 3.8-liter, boxer-six engine that powers the Carrera GTS, which puts down 430 horses and 324.5 pound-feet of twist. This model is available with either the standard seven-speed manual gearbox or the optional PDK cog swapper. The former sprints the car to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and tops out at 190 mph, while the latter hits 60 in 3.8 seconds and tops out at 189 mph. Standard on this special model is the Sport Exhaust system with black-chrome tips. Other goodies include Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Torque Vectoring, and the Sport Chrono Package.

This special model will be available exclusively to PCA members starting in June 2015, with the first model being given away to a member. The remaining 59 examples will be priced from $136,060, plus a $995 delivery fee. That’s a healthy $20,865 more than the 911 Carrera GTS, but the extra cash is well worth it for the exclusivity the GTS Club Coupe provides.
