Nissan Compares The Titan To Fruitcake

In the spirit of the holiday, Nissan decided to compare the Titan to fruitcake, of all things. Before you think the automaker is saying nobody likes the truck, just like how nobody likes the wintertime “treat,” that wasn’t the point.

Instead, Nissan sent fruitcake to different news outlets as a statement of how durable the Titan is. You know, because fruitcake is so indestructible you can re-gift it over and over, passing it down from one generation the next.

Was this a good idea? Sure, because it’s getting some outlets like the Detroit Free Press talking about the Titan. Will it lead to more sales? I wouldn’t buy a truck based on fruitcake, but that’s just me.
