Maserati Shows Off its Feature-Packed Ghibli GranLusso

The Maserati Ghibli has brought the automaker’s nameplate within reach of your more traditional luxury car buyers, significantly boosting its sales in the process. After four great years, the Ghibli is gaining a new GranLusso variant that boasts an exclusive look and a handful of technical upgrades.

The Ghibli GranLusso sets itself apart from the standard model with a handful of exterior updates. Up front, these changes include a revised bumper with dedicated chrome inserts and a new grille with chrome bars that align it with the brand’s signature style on its more-premium models.

The changes continue in profile view, as Maserati adds GranLusso badges on the bottom of the front fenders and body-color side skirts.

Around back, Maserati caps off the GranLusso changes with a new body-color extractor and updated bumper.

On top of the visual updates, the Ghibli GranLusso also gets a few technical upgrades. These include adaptive LED headlights with a glare-free matrix high-beam and additional driver-assist technologies that help push Maserati toward autonomous driving.

There is no mention of powertrain options, but I assume it’ll have the same options as the standard Ghibli. These include a 345-horsepower V-6 engine and a 404-horsepower V-6.
