Koenigsegg Might Set A Nurburgring Record

Koenigsegg wants everyone to know it’ll be hanging around the Nurburgring for a few months, right after the speed limits were lifted. But that’s just a coincidence, because Koenigsegg is totally laid back and doesn’t care about setting lap records and all that stuff.

Back in 2015, the company was going to use the One:1 to set a new record. After track management put the brakes on all that, Koenigsegg totally got over it. For now, the company will just be driving around the ‘Ring, just for fun. If they happen to set a record without even trying, it’s not like they’re going to complain or avoid putting together a press release or something.

So if you happen to see photos of videos of Koenigseggs screaming around the ‘Ring, know that they’re not up to anything, unless one sets a record. Then it will be something.

For now, Koenigsegg is going to just drive around the track and get ready to set a record, which will take months, if it decides to do it. So nobody should get worked up until that actually happens, because it might not.
