Kia Sales Surge in July
It’s no secret that car sales are down. They might be low for a few years, so it’s worth noting that Kia is experiencing the exact opposite trend. The South Korean automaker broke its old monthly sales record in July, delivering 56,403 vehicles to customers.
The old record was set in May 2017, showing that July was hardly a fluke or blip. People right now love Kias, and it may have to do with value.
Not too long ago, Kias didn’t deliver much in the way of quality. The company has made big strides in the right direction, catching up with competitors in many areas. At the same time, it hasn’t pumped prices up. As a result, shoppers are finding the automaker makes vehicles loaded with value.
As the big sales star in July, the Soul carried almost 13,000 sales. Small SUVs are hot, so that’s not too surprising. More astounding is the Forte logged over 12,000 sales, at a time when compact sedans have been dropping in popularity. In fact, the Forte has been the top-selling vehicle for Kia so far in 2017.
Landing third for the brand in July was the Sorento. The Optima still showed strong sales for the month.
