Jaguar Is Red Hot In The USA

Americans love Jags. That’s the message sounding loud and clear from sales numbers, because those don’t lie. Bloomberg reports that Jaguar saw a huge 59 percent spike in sales for the first seven months of 2016, blasting past every other brand out there. Second was Volvo, which trailed at a still-respectable 29 percent increase.

As the saying goes, you can’t fall off the floor. Really, Jaguar had only one way to go: up. In other words, Jaguar sales were so bad, that improving dramatically really didn’t take that much. Under Ford management, the brand had become pretty bland.

Thankfully, Tata has been kind to Jaguar. The cat has grown its claws again, and that’s reflected in more exciting vehicles, plus edgier marketing. If you don’t believe me, go to a Jaguar dealership and test drive one of the newer models – they’re surprisingly impressive. Jaguar’s brought the goods.

The F-Pace has been getting all kinds of rave reviews, showing that Jaguar’s hot enough to take a sizable chunk of the midsize luxury SUV market. Jaguar has been moving and shaking, reworking its entire model lineup in just a year, showing dramatically that the brand is going through a huge transformation.

So if you think you know Jaguar, you might be wrong. The old, tired Jaguar is dead. In its place we have a more dynamic luxury brand that might be able to finally take the fight to the Germans.
