When Nissan revealed its new Q60 coupe to the world, everyone perked up and took notice of the once-lagging Japanese automaker. Particularly attention drawing was the new Red Sport 400 model that will finally give Infiniti a rival for BMW’s M4 and Mercedes-AMG’s upcoming C63 Coupe. Today, we learn that the Q60 Red Sport 400 is also likely the best deal in the galaxy!

When AMG and M Series models dance through the minds of enthusiasts, one of the first things that ruin it are the prices. I mean, the smallest of the Ms, the M2, runs $51,700 and the lowest-priced true AMG is the CLA45 at $52,500. And it just gets worse as you go up in the lineup.

Infiniti has long provided great value relative to its German competitors, but it always lacked the true performance models to battle the Ms and AMGs of the world. That’s now a thing of the past with the new Q60 Red Sport 400 and its 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque that drips from its twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6. This output sets the Q60 up nicely to battle the 444-horsepower M4 and the 469-horsepower Mercedes-AMG C63.

What’s more, the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 will carry on the tradition of offering loads of value with its $51,300 base MSRP. Those looking for all-wheel drive will have to pony up another $2,000.

That reasonable base price makes the Q60 Red Sport 400 $14,900 cheaper than the M4 and $13,950 cheaper than the C63.

Of course, with this lower price, you will give up some raw performance when compared to the M4 and C63, but the cost savings may be worth it to many buyers.

The 2017 Q60 Red Sport 400 will hit showrooms in September 2016. Stay tuned for updates.
