Infiniti Releases a Teaser Image Previewing a 2014 Paris Motor Show Debut

With the immediateness of the Internet, automakers are finding it rather “entertaining” to drum up interest in upcoming models with small teaser images and videos. Oftentimes, these teasers result in a car that is not overly exciting, but with the recent revitalization of the Infiniti lineup, it’s hard not to get excited when the Japanese luxury brand teases something new. And it just releases a rather interesting one ahead of the 2014 Paris Auto Show in October.

This teaser image shows just the grille of a new vehicle that will bow in Paris and the accompanying text reads “Soon, Infiniti will share a vision – its soul – on a scale not seen before from the company.” This certainly leaves a lot open for interpretation, but I can come up with a few educated guesses as to what this is.

There is the production version of the Q50 Eau Rouge, the GT-R-powered sports sedan that us gearheads have been drooling over for months. There is also a flagship SUV in the rumormill that is slated to take on the Porsche Cayenne. This could also be a teaser image for the upcoming Q30 that we have been waiting for. But this could also be a complete curveball, and Infiniti could be teasing a model that we’ve never seen or heard anything about before or maybe something as simple as a new grille design for the entire lineup.

This is the beauty of teaser images from an unpredictable company like Infiniti. There is so much change and growth going on within the company that these teaser images really get our brains working double-time.

I personally think that this will end up being the production version of the Q50 Eau Rouge. The prototype has made its way around the world, and it is just about time for Infiniti to cash in on the thousands of buyers begging the automaker to take their money to get their hands on this sporty sedan.
