The Accord continues its roll as one of the most popular midsize sedans ever built. In fact, it is looking to continue its three-year run as the most popular car in America in the 2017 model year. For the most part, the 2017 Accord will remain unchanged, but there is a new value-oriented trim level that packs in some desirable features at a reduced price.

This new trim level, which Honda is calling the Sport Special Edition, will feature a handful of upscale features without a huge price tag. The added features include leather seating, red contrast stitching, heated seats, and “Special Edition” badges.

This new trim will only be available as a sedan with the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. It’ll base from $25,415 with the six-speed manual transmission or $26,215 with the continuously variable transmission.

The rest of the Accord lineup will remain unchanged for 2017, save for the reintroduction of the Hybrid model. In terms of pricing, however, there is a $150 increase across the board relative to the 2016 model. These increases mean that the 2017 Accord sedan bases from $22,355 for the LX 6MT and tops out at $34,830 for the Touring 6AT while the coupe versions base from $24,025 for the LX-S 6MT and top out at $34,375 for the Touring trim.

The 2017 Accord is heading into showrooms now.
