The F-150 SVT Raptor has been a rather hot commodity since its debut five years ago. Sure, it’s not the straight-line performance monster that the F-150 Lightning was all those years ago, but with its 411-horsepower V-8, massive tires, enhanced ground clearance and Fox shock absorbers, it has been a massive success in the off-road community. When Ford redesigned the F-150 for the 2015 model year and graced the best-selling pickup with a more lightweight body, the enthusiast crowd started wondering how the mighty Raptor would do with this aluminum-intensive body. Unfortunately, Ford has yet to release a Raptor based on the 2015 F-150, but Texas-based tuner turned automaker, Hennessey, has a solution for you in the form of its new 2015 VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged.

The 2015 Hennessey VelociRaptor will be limited to only 500 units, and each one will come boasting a Roots-style supercharger, a high-flow air intake system and a stainless-steel exhaust system bolted up to the 5.0-liter, V-8 engine. Also tossed in are upgraded fuel injectors and Hennessey’s own engine management system. This all helps push the V-8 to over 600 horsepower — Hennessey has yet to reveal the specific output of this setup — which is at least a 215-horsepower increase over the F-150’s factory-tuned 5.0-liter.

Also added to the 2015 Ford F-150 FX4 Super Crew that the VelociRaptor is based upon is 33-inch BF Goodrich rubber mounted to 17-inch Hennessey rollers. Buyers can further tweak their VelociRaptor 600 by selecting the optional off-road coilover suspension, upgraded bumpers, winch, LED light bars, Brembo brakes and more.

Pricing for the VelociRaptor starts out at $73,500, which includes the F-150 that it is based upon. This price adds up to a roughly a $30,000 markup on the base 2015 F-150 XL FX4 with the 5.0-liter V-8, and is about $28,500 more than the base 2014 SVT Raptor. Picking up a VelociRaptor is surprisingly easy, as Hennessey has a working relationship with Ford, allowing buyers to order the tuned pickup straight through their nearest Ford dealership. Additionally, the VelociRaptor comes with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty from Hennessey.
