GMC Reveals the Revised 2018 Yukon Denali

It wasn’t but a few years ago that the Yukon and Yukon Denali underwent a complete redesign. Recently, GMC unveiled the 2018 version of its SUV, and the Denali version gets a handful of mild updates.

The most obvious of the updates is to the Yukon Denali’s grille. It will now feature a multi-dimensional grille design that not only gives the Denali an even more distinguished appearance, but also increases airflow to the 6.2-liter V-8 engine. Additionally, this grille includes shutters that help reduce aerodynamic drag on the highway.

The only other visual change is inside. Here, the 2018 Yukon Denali gains new Mastique Ash wood trim. This adds just a little more class to the already well-done interior of the Yukon.

Also new is a 10-speed automatic transmission that General Motors built along with Ford. The 7.29 gear-ratio spread allows for a lower top-gear ratio, helping keep engine speeds low and increase fuel economy without sacrificing low-end acceleration. GMC also promises world-class smoothness from the new gearbox.

Other than these few additions, the 2018 Yukon Denali will remain the same as the current model.

Pricing will come closer to the release of the 2018 Yukon Denali, which GMC says will come in the fall of 2018. Stay tuned for updates.
