Ford Reveals Performance Package Level 2 for Mustang GT

Ford wowed fans with the reveal of its Performance Package for the 2018 Mustang GT, but now it’s about to take that one step further with the all-new Performance Package Level 2.

This new package will build upon the already awesome Performance Package, which enhances the mighty 2018 Mustang GT with a unique chassis and antilock brake tuning, unique stability control and electric power steering, Brembo six-piston front brake calipers with larger rotors, a k-brace, a larger radiator, a silver-painted strut tower brace, and a TORSEN rear differential with 3.73 axle ratio.

In addition to the Performance Package Level 1’s already impressive list of upgrades, Level 2 adds specially developed 19-by-10.5-inch front wheels and 19-by-11-inch rear wheels wrapped in 305/30R19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, which are 1.5 inches wider than what’s included in the Level 1 package. It also boasts a lower stance, a redesigned front splitter and rear spoiler, specially tuned MagneRide dampers, a 67 percent stiffer rear stabilizer bar, a 12 percent stiffer front stabilizer bar, 20 percent stiffer front springs, and 13 percent stiffer rear springs.

All this is intended to bridge the gap between the Mustang GT with the Performance Package Level 1 and the outrageous GT350.

There is no pricing information on this new package, but we do know it will be available in the spring of 2018. Stay tuned for updates.
