Muscle car fans around the world are chomping at the bit to get their hands on the 2016 Chevy Camaro. Today, they learn just how much it will set them back to pick one up, as GM has revealed pricing information for the sixth-gen Camaro.

In case you just crawled out from under a rock somewhere, the Camaro is all-new for the 2016 model year. While it retains the same basic muscular look it’s had since Chevy resurrected the name, it is more compact and sharper than the previous generation. To be precise, it’s 2.3 inches shorter in length, 0.8 inches narrower, and 1.1 inches shorter in height relative to the 2015 model. With this smaller footprint comes a lighter curb weight, as the 2016 model is more than 200 pounds lighter than the 2015 model.

Pairing up with this reduced heft is a new lineup of engines. Starting things off is a turbocharged 2.0-liter that cranks out 275 horses, then comes a 3.6-liter V-6 with 335 ponies, and capping off the 2016 lineup (for now) is a 6.2-liter V-8 with 455 SAE-certified horses. There will be additional engine options as more performance models come out.

With all of these changes, a price jump was unavoidable. Fortunately, it is not too much of a hike, as the 2016 Camaro 1LT (the base model) will start from $26,695, which is a $1.995 increase over the base 2015 Camaro. If the V-8-powered 1SS model is more your type, that model checks in at $37,295, which is a $2,795 price increase over the 2015 Camaro 1SS.

The base 2016 Camaro 1LT also delivers a good amount of new standard features for the new model year, including OnStar 4G LTE connectivity, Chevy MyLink with Apple CarPlay, auto climate control, rearview camera, a flat-bottomed steering wheel wrapped in leather, a capless fuel-filler, power front seats, and more. The 1SS model also includes some new standard features like differential, oil, and transmission coolers, Brembo brakes, Active Rev Matching, Goodyear F1 tires, and more.

Chevy hasn’t revealed pricing details on the rest of the 2016 Camaro lineup, but it has released a visualizer that allows you to customize your own rig. You can check out the visualizer here.
