It’s another production year for the Corvette Stingray, which is bringing with it a round of updates. Most of the changes aren’t earth-shattering, but they should be enough to keep the model fresh in the eyes of car shoppers. Many of them have also been applied to the 2016 Corvette ZO6.

One of the biggest changes is the availability of three new design packages that center on a color theme: Twilight Blue, Spice Ride and Jet Black Suede. Buyers can only add them to the 3LT trim level on coupes and convertibles. The different finishes, trim pieces and other included equipment are spread around the exterior and interior, impacting the overall look and feel of the car.

Buyers will be able to choose between two new paint colors, Corvette Racing Yellow Tintcoat and Long Beach Red Metallic. There’s also an optional graphics kit that exposes the carbon fiber on a portion of the hood.

The Magnetic Ride Control system no longer only comes in the Z51 package. Shoppers can opt for the advanced adaptive suspension dampers a la carte.

Dealing with the Corvette’s hatch or trunk (on convertibles) will be less of an ordeal, thanks to the new “power-cinching” feature that means owners won’t have to slam it down to ensure it latches. All Stingrays come with a new wheel design that can be had in dour different finishes. Drivers enjoy a flat-bottom steering wheel that gives off even more of a performance vibe. Two-tone GT seats in red or gray are also available with leather or sueded microfiber upholstery. On the 2LZ and 3LZ trims a frontal parking camera is included. With 3LT models that have the Jet Black interior, owners can make a bold statement with yellow or red contrast stitching.

ZO6 models get two exclusive new options: a Brownstone interior for the 3LZ trim and Blade wheels.

So far, Chevrolet hasn’t released pricing for the 2016 Corvette Stingray or ZO6 models, but they should stay near the 2015 model-year rates.
