Campagna Releasing a 20th Anniversary T-Rex
With track cars and lightweight road cars becoming more common these days, the Campagna T-Rex has lost a bit of its thunder. However, it is still a very relevant piece of machinery that launched a segment that continues to impress to this day. Therefore, it is no surprise that Campagna is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the T-Rex with a 20-unit run special edition.
The T-Rex 20th anniversary edition is decked with a red chassis with a two-tone charcoal paintjob. Custom black wheels help round out the updates on the outside of this special model.
Inside the cabin, Campagna included special leather seats with the T-Rex 20th anniversary logo and a D-shaped, leather-wrapped steering wheel. Also included is a 20th anniversary multi-controller on the dash that includes the chassis number of each vehicle (1 through 20).
Mechanical updates include a more precise steering system, the top-of-the-line Stage 5 fully adjustable suspension system, and a high-performance braking system with four cross-drilled rotors and steel-braided brake lines.
Powering this model is the same 1,649 cc inline-six BMW engine that produces 160 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and 129 pound-feet of torque at 5,250 rpm.
This special model will set you $69,999. That’s a whopping $8,000 increase over the T-Rex 16S for only a few emblems, and upgraded braking and suspension systems. I guess this goes to show that there is a price for exclusivity, regardless of how popular an automaker is.
There is no mention of when the T-Rex 20th anniversary edition will be available.
