Aston Martin Reveals The Vantage AMR

In case you don’t remember, during the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Aston Martin announced it was starting a new sub-brand called AMR. The whole point was to inject more inspiration from the company’s motorsports forays into vehicles driven by average Joes with tons of money.

We finally have the first example of what an AMR vehicle is like. The Vantage AMR was created to commemorate the car’s GT4, GT3, and GTE success. Shoppers will be able to get the vehicle with either a V-8 kicking out 430bhp, or a proper V-12 producing 595bhp, plus either a six- or seven-speed manual transmission. Oh, and there’s an automated sequential manual paddle-shift transmission option for people who hate three pedals.

Aston Martin is making the Vantage AMR as both a coupe and roadster. In true British racing tradition, the only paint option is Stirling Green, with a nice Lime stripe. The Brembo calipers are also painted Lime. Also, the car wears WEC British flag AML wings badges.

Of course, the interior gets some special touches. The Pure Black Alcantara and leather scheme gets some nice contrast with Copper-Tan Metallic highlights. That Lime color carries into the cabin in leather accents.

Buyers will be able to order some accessories. One option is an aero kit, with carbon fiber components. Other carbon fiber bits for the exterior and interior are also available.

If you want one of these Aston Martin Vantage AMRs, you better hurry. Only 300 will be made worldwide.
