Hyundai has its go-to tuners when it comes time for the SEMA show, and one of those is ARK Performance. The two have teamed up again to create a special version of the Genesis Coupe for the show.

This coupe takes on a wider look thanks to its “Sonus” wide body kit. This kit includes updated front and rear bumper extensions, wide front fenders, a new hood, more aggressive side skirts, rear over fenders, and a “Legato” rear spoiler.

Inside, ARK Performance continued with its modifications. These include a complete Rockford Fosgate Punch premium speaker system, an AiM Sports MXG digital color display, a steering wheel borrowed from the 2015 Sonata Sport, a custom carbon-fiber dashboard with integrated multimedia screen, a carbon-fiber center armrest and door inserts, Synapse Engineering gauges, and a custom-threaded shifter knob.

Looks aren’t all that make this SEMA-bound rig special, as it also has a fully redone chassis. The handling updates include an ARK Performance DT-P coilover suspension kit, an ARK Performance strut-tower brace, and a set of ARK forged wheels wrapped up in Nitto NT05 tires.

Where this special Genesis really earns its keep is under the hood. Here ARK Performance installed a Brian Crower 4.0-liter stroker kit, a set of JE pistons, Brian Crower rods and crank, a custom Rotrex supercharger, and an AEM water/methanol injector kit.

All of these updates allowed ARK Performance to bump the Genesis’ 3.8-liter V-6 to more than 500 ponies. This oomph travels to the rear wheels by way of a six-speed manual transmission.

We’ll get a look at this customized rig at the 2015 SEMA show, which kicks off on November 3rd. We’re sure there will be plenty of other cool Hyundai vehicles at SEMA, so keep it locked here for more.
