Remember the mirage from the past? You should forget all about it, because the new Mirage is far superior in every way. The little hatchback starts off with a price of just $13,790 and adds to that the claim of being the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid car in America, thanks to a 40 mpg combined fuel economy rating. Despite its low price, Mitsubishi outfits base models with automatic climate control, a total of seven airbags, keyless entry, and an iPod/USB interface for playing MP3s on the sound system. The 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine does an excellent job of moving the Mirage around town without straining, making for a surprisingly pleasant driving experience.
