The smallest of the U.S.-spec Audis, the A3, is the next model on our list. It checks in with a highway rating of 43 mpg thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbo-diesel, four-cylinder engine that churns out 150 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. This engine makes the A3 the least powerful car on our list, but it still can hit 60 mph in 8.1 seconds, and comes with plenty of luxurious features.

Standard on the 2015 A3 2.0 TDI are xenon plus headlights, a panoramic sunroof, Bluetooth streaming audio, automatic windshield wipers, dual-zone climate control, leather seating, a 10-speaker Audi concert radio, and a 12-way power driver seat. The A3 2.0 starts out at just $32,900 and rises to $41,350 for the fully loaded Prestige trim level.
