2019 Chevy Camaro Shows Off a New Look
With the 2018 model year already coming to a close, the 2019s are starting to show their faces. The latest to show off its restyled duds is the 2019 Chevy Camaro.
Despite getting a redesign back in 2016, the 2019 Camaro will undergo a comprehensive refresh that’ll give it a striking new appearance and a slew of new features. In terms of its looks, the basic shape of the ‘Maro remains, of course, but it gets an updated front fascia that puts some distinction between the LT/LS, RS, and SS trims. There are also new LED dual-element headlights with a swooping accent light, and a reshaped hood.
Around back, the 2019 Camaro also gains new fascias across the board, and new diffusers for the RS and SS models with Dual Mode Exhaust. New taillights also debut, bringing back the signature dual-circle design and adding tint to the RS, SS, and ZL1 model’s units.
Not much changes inside, but buyers will notice a new standard Rear Camera Mirror on SS and ZL1 trims and Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with available navigation. Other technical upgrades include an upgraded rearview camera system with HD, available forward collision warning, and an enhanced performance data recorder.
The 2019 Camaro’s lineup of engines will remain unchanged, but the SS model will finally get access to the 10-speed automatic transmission that GM developed with Ford. This transmission will include a custom launch control system and line lock. frenemy
