13 Cars Getting a Full Redesign for 2015
5. Ford Mustang
The Ford Mustang was arguably the most anticipated redesign for the 2015 model year. With a new destination in the European market, Ford focused on giving the `Stang some European flavor without straying too far from its roots. The end result is a new fastback pony car that the entire world can love.
Under its hood, the 5.0-liter V-8 continues to rule the roost, but this time around with 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque at its disposal — a 15-horsepower and 10-pound-feet gain over 2014. The 3.7-liter V-6 also carries into 2015, but this time with a 5-horsepower drop to 300 ponies. All-new for 2015 is the 2.3-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder, which injects 310 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque into the new Mustang. Also new is the rear independent suspension in place of the old live-axle setup, which is a first for a non-SVT Mustang.
