For the 2015 Model year the Hyundai Sonata is getting a complete overhaul, and boy was it needed. While the last generation Sonata was stylish when it first hit the market in 2011, but the hard body lines didn’t age well and it looked dated only a few years later. The new design, however, is classier with fewer angular body lines to help it age more gracefully.

Things change under the hood as well. All-new is a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine in the Eco trim that delivers 177 horses and 195 pound-feet of torque while returning up to 38 mpg highway. A new 2.0T model features a 2.0-liter turbo engine that delivers 245 horses — 29 horsepower less than the 2014 turbo model — and the base 2.4-liter delivers 185 horsepower, which is a 5-horsepower drop from 2014.
